About the Event
Caesarea - the port city of King Herod - was the major city in the land during the Second Temple period the time of Jesus, and for centuries later. It was created out of nothing to honor the Roman Emperor Augustus. With beautiful Mediterranean views, this archaeological site is amazing. Caesarea was a typical Roman city with all of the amenities including a bathhouse, the Hippodrome and a theater. The site is full of amazing archaeological finds as well as wonderful stories from the Christian Bible; Paul visited here, Peter baptised Cornelius here and many more people are part of the story of Caesarea.
