About the Event

Jerusalem, Yerushalem, Yerusahaliyim, Jevus, Yevus -  the city has many names and many people consider it important in their story. What did Jerusalem look like in the beginning? What was it called and who ruled the city and its people?

Join me as we explore the city of David - the early days of Jerusalem and what we know about it. We will bring to life some of the stories of the Bible connecting to Jerusalem. We will explore the area known today as the City of David or the ancient part of Jerusalem that is outside of the walls of the Old City of today.

We will see some of the known and lesser known finds in the archaeological park and explore the newly opened Pilgrims road from the time of the 2nd Temple, also known as the time of Jesus. We will visit Hezekiah's tunnel and the pool of Siloam, the drainage tunnel and the pool built by King Herod and the remains found today.

Finally, I will cover some of the political issues that are connected to the location of the city of David in modern times and how it affects the development and further excavations.
