Jesus in the Galilee - Nazareth, Magdala and Capernaum

Join me as we explore the Galilee during the time of Jesus also known as the Second Temple period of Jewish life in the land. We will visit three major cities important in the life of Jesus and explore the Jewish connection to his life and his story to better understand the roots of both religions. Nazareth a small town at the time but a major site for pilgrims in the modern time. Capernaum is a wonderful site with remains of the house of Peter the Fisherman and an ancient Synagogue. In Magdala the hometown of Mary Magdalene we will explore the remains of a first century synagogue very likely to have been there during the time of Jesus when he visited this central town in the Galilee.
